Chapter 7

Well, we have discuss a lot of ways in which we can integrate technology within the classrooms. As a child growing up, i never had computers or other technological tools we have today being integrated in my classrooms. So as far as comparing how i have benefited from technology integrated classroom and use that as a way to help me prepare lessons that i think students would benefit from it will be a little challenging. I would have to use my knowledge on how technology can help students to help me prepare a lesson that would benefit students. One of the technological tool i think i would love to use within the classrooms is the use of i pads.  The ipad is a line of table computers designed, developed and marketed by Apple Inc. primarily as a platform for audio-visual media including books, periodicals, movies, music, games, and web content. I like this because it will encourage reading and its something that's portable and student do not have be as one spot reading they can feel free to move around with it and touch the screen to make adjustments which would add excitements and motivations. Chapter 7 of the bitter text book brought out however that although  one may want to integrated technology within one's classroom they must know how to use it. He said they are three steps to teaching a lesson: planning, implementing, and assessment. So although we may know that for example we want our students to read a story on the ipad we must plan the lesson. what are they going to read? why do we prefer for them to read this story on the ipad rather than on the hard cover? what do we want them to get from doing this? or what is the whole purpose of the lesson? and how will this benefit the students? Also we always want to make sure that when integrating technology in the classroom we as the teachers much be familiar with the tools and it much have a purpose or way of benefiting the students.
