Chapter 8

 This chapter helps me to see the importance of the internet within the classroom. After reading this chapter i see that it is imperative that i learn how to effectively use the internet in order to help my students in the future with their education progress. Chapter 8 helps us to learn how to create websites and how to prepare lessons using the world wide web. It also helps us to see how we can help students to use the net to receive information for class and for researches. This think this chapter is very informative and can be very useful foe teachers and students. The chapter broke up their lesson into parts and tried to simplify it in order for teachers to better understand how to make use of the internet. Although i think that the author did a great job in presenting this information i feel that he made it seem like teaching is all about using the internet. In my opinion it was implied that the internet was the only resource that can be used to teach effectively. The chapter is focus on how to use the would wide web in the classroom so therefore its expected that that will be what the whole chapter should be about. But i think that the author could of design the chapter in a better not not to make it look like teachers are useless within the classroom or it is not necessary for them to be teaching a lesson because the internet will do it. The author however at the beginning of this chapter made it very clear that the internet should not be viewed as a resource to replace teachers or substitute for teacher. His words and what he produce in the book contradicts itself.

     As a future teacher i am planning on integrating technology into the classroom. But i will integrated in a way that will make me useful in the classroom also help the students to learn how to use technology. The book do have some very good instructions on how to create websites and lessons using the internet and these are some tips i will be taking and working with in the future.
