" The educational system is regarded as the force that, when functioning properly, promotes literacy or, when failing,allow illiteracy". This is one of the lines that caught my interest immediately and make me think about what exactly does this mean. After reading on i found a connection and i think that i better understood what is being said here. As educated human beings we have the tendency to generate many ideas to use in different ways or that can help in certain areas but not at all times will these ideas produce success and work effectively. This chapter is helping us as future teachers to learn how to be effective in the classroom and how to get familiar with software we are not use to in order for the educational system to function properly.
                 The book bought out that Education has the responsibility of developing technologically literate people and so as future educators we much know how to perform this task. The book helps us to see that it is not enough merely to put computers in the classroom and the say students are "using technology" but it is the way computers are use rather than the actual machines that contribute to learn. so we need to look for ways on how computers can help us as teachers teach a lesson or help the students to grasp points. Some ways on in which i was thinking that technology can be use in the classroom is by question up via projector and then ask a question to the class and then let them go up and type in the answer in a space box. I think by doing this  you will have control over the class, they will be paying attention and will be motivated to answer questions because they will have to opportunity to go up in front the class and put in the correct answer.

              Before all of this can even happen teachers must know how to use these technology. The book give suggestion as to how teachers are who not familiar with computers and get involve. one of the suggest is by having them work with those who are familiar with computers. I find this to be a very good idea because there is nothing better than working with peers. Each person can get the opportunity to learn something, share ideas and resources etc. In the long run students will benefit great.

Using technology in the classroom chapters1-3

       This chapter started by introducing its reader to the world of technology, and it explain importance of

knowing how to use technology easily. This chapter spoke about the changing society we are living in today

and how everything around us is become more technology friendly. We sometime may hear people saying that

they do not like to use computer or it is too complicated; but this chapter helps such ones to understand that 

modern computers and other technology are becoming more user friendly and it’s becoming easier to operate

. We learn in this chapter that it’s imperative to let the younger ones learn to use technology because in the 

future we will have to use computers for everything. Computers will be the most used tools in the work place. 

We learn in this chapter different information about the computer and about different terms and meaning. It 

gives someone who has never known anything about the computer a good understand about how to operate 

it. I think it also make its information interesting so one who has never interfere with the computer will be 

motivated to go and try it out. This chapter really opens my eyes as to see how important it is to learn about 

computer and later on teach it to my students so they will be able to use it effectively in their lives. 
       

Chapter two went into more explaining certain concept-mapping tools and the most common productivity applications. These are some of the tools most are familiar with because they are commonly used in schools and work places. The chapter spoke about their importance and gives instruction on how we can use them. The chapter also tells about how it can be of easy use to us and how it can make our everyday work life easier. This chapter gives common computer vocabulary that we may or may not be familiar with and list their meanings. I think after reading this chapter I feel more confident to try and play around with these tools and see how much more I can learn. We learn from reading this chapter how these tools and software work.

              Finally, chapter three; Chapter three is my favorite chapter among the others. I like this chapter because it explains what I have been trying to figure out for years. How does the internet work?  Many may or may not have think about this question in the pass. We sometimes are just use to it working when we are ready to and never sit to take the time to think about how is this even possible. This chapter breaks down the way the internet works and how it is possible for use to use social websites, email, chats etc. The internet wiring system is very complex in its forming and its amazing that this form can be of such help to use in today society. The chapter emphasizes the need to be careful when using the internet because information share over the net is not always private and can sometimes is view by a third party. After reading this chapter I definitely got to understand the world wide web more and is eager to learn more about technology.
